Version 0.5 is an alpha version that meets the requirements for the 0.5 milestone.

It implements the following features:

• Support for multiple layers
• Pluggable frameworks for cache and cachekeys
• File backend, similar to that used by Metacarta's TileCache?, in addition to JCS.

It is considerably faster than previous versions of JTileCache because it stores the image files directly. It has been tested with EPSG:4326 and EPSG:900913, but should also work with other coordinate reference systems. The current version is used in production on the public demo server http://sigma.openplans.org.
